“What one purchase have you made in the past year for under $100 that’s had the biggest positive impact on your life?”
A friend asked this question to a group of us during an impromptu end of year dinner party. From Amazon prime to Zinc spray, the answers were as wide ranging and unique as the people themselves. The most interesting part of the conversation was hearing “how” and “why” the sub $100 dollar item added significantly more value to their life than the price paid.
I noticed a few common themes to each answer:
- There was ALWAYS a cheaper option, but was more expensive in the long term
- EVERY purchased saved time, which ultimately saved money
- They had PEACE OF MIND knowing the purchase would meet or exceed expectations

Who do I choose to insure my home?
Hundreds of current and future homeowners call me for quotes each year and ask why they should choose one insurance company over another.
Here are a few helpful questions to consider:
- How long has the insurance company been in business?
- Does the company have the financial ability to pay a claim?
- Who do I call if I have to make a claim?
- Do I have enough coverage to replace my home and belongings?
